I've been discussing for some time feelings vs emotions vs states of being and it's a very complex topic because our language has too many words with too many definitions. This is all the more apparent to me from the various comments I have received in two recent pieces: an essay, https://medium.com/@marcus17043/are-you-well-advised-to-follow-your-heart-dea0cbeb214b , with the subtitle, "Yes but not until you can discern the difference between feelings (follow) and emotions (process);" and this poem and brief essay I wrote after reading the comments to the first piece: https://medium.com/@marcus17043/of-feelings-and-knowledge-580fed0d092a
Both have as their jump off point what I read from White Feather, that feelings are intuited or felt knowledge uncorrupted by thoughts or emotions.
Many responders wrote from language of psychology and thus it was like we were just talking passed each other.
