I've probably mentioned before that soon after I spiritually awakened and learned that this is my soul's 17,043rd human incarnation I had an epiphany that the creation story, before it got mangled, had its genesis describing reincarnation with the tree of life being the spirit realm and the tree of knowledge being earth. I lack your capacity for research but a quick Google search at the time yielded that in the Kabbalah the tree of life is the tree of souls.
