Last night while watching the Leonard Cohen Hallelujah documentary for the third time, I took note of these words he spoke during an interview:

“I really am a writer, and a writer is deeply conflicted. And it is in his work that he reconciles these deep conflicts. And it doesn’t set the world in order. It doesn’t really change anything. It just is kind of a harbor.”

I worked that into the poem + piece I was writing: https://medium.com/write-under-the-moon/ephemerally-enlightened-846e3cae7b48
