Let's not forget that the August changes were a redistribution from high reading time authors to high engagement authors. I am the former (actually a hybrid as I often write longer pieces that had good average reading times which stat doesnt exist anymore) andmy earnings went up significantly in August so I was happy but I think a 30 second read as the only read time metric went too far and doesn't reward the time put into creating longer articles that are actually read. Thanks for the work you put in here as it makes me feel less annoyed with the $4.52 sent fraud adjustment I received which based on a spread sheet I did I felt should have been closer to $30 for new stories and $90 overall. My spread sheet calculated my $/MPP metric for new stories at about an $0.08 average during August and pre fraud Sept and a $0.03 average during the fraud, and I didn't see a return to higher payments until Oct 18th so their Oct 4th date for the calculation contributes somewhat to the discrepancy in their calculations and mine. While I haven't updated my sheet in a while for the beginning of Nov it seemed the figure for new stories was about $0.05 per metric reflecting their continuing adjustments

I had tried to appeal the adjustment calculation and finally received yesterday after 2 weeks and several follow ups an email without any substance that the adjustments are not appealable
