Many that have known me since childhood, or that know me through people who have known me that long, call me "Maids" or "Shades" which stem from a counselor at sleep away camp (Takajo in Maine), Fankie K, calling me "Maids in the Shades" for the Vuarnet sunglasses I wore.

I have also been known as Gremlin for the way I would laugh at college when I was stoned. Apparently I snickered like Stripe in the movie Gremlins, which I had not and still have not seen. Occasionally a college friend will revive that name.
