Masculinity has little or nothing to do with the divine masculine and feminity has little or nothing to do with the divine feminine. Masculinity and feminity as generally used are bound up in the societal gender constructs.
Divine masculine and feminine are topics I have written about a few times. Most recently in the portion of my essay, https://medium.com/the-taoist-online/hermann-hesse-alan-arkin-and-marcus-meet-in-a-bar-to-discuss-philosophy-with-marcus-7582ce0bad14 , that discusses Hermann Hesse's Narcissus and Goldmund.
Rebecca Romanelli's essay that I cite therein, https://medium.com/know-thyself-heal-thyself/marry-yourself-before-committing-to-another-1505830a7891 , talks about the internal sacred marriage of the two divine energies that is reflected in your Harding quote.
