Medium says they have 700,000 readers and you have indicated there are 25,000 writers. Based on the amount of followers for the start up, that is likely underreported, but using that figure, and using 30% for profit and overhead, which is a shit ton of money for Arthur and a few incompetent coders and engineers, that would indicate that that the average writer makes ~$100 a month. If I recall correctly only the top 10% were making that much money a few months ago. So it would seem to me there are plenty of subscription dollars in the system for writers to be earning and that he money is simply going elsewhere. Do you have any views on this math?
