Nope, as I'm not aware of a delete icon in Medium and it didn't make sense to me to delete an email when you want to stop reading someone you have subscribed to. That may be because I rarely delete any emails. Marking an email read when I decide from the part shared in a story that I don't want to open the full story works for me. What made sense to me was unsubscribing and what made sense to me was asking for clarification. If you take the time to write a story I want to know what you meant, not guess and I really did not and do not see this in the category of what you asked me to stop Reasonable minds can differ.
