Of course we do not have to agree and we are not really disagreeing as generally I would think that that the practice is bothersome. I still don't understand why you found it so upsetting (of course it's your right to be upset and you don't have to explain why) but perhaps after reading her apology below you may be less upset ( and no I never leave unrelated comments).
