Our current and ever increasing military spending is so unnecessary and will become more so as we become energy independent but the military industrial complex is so entrenched and lobbyist rich that we will continue to spend on weapons instead of universal healthcare, college, etc while Republicans call social security and Medicare and Medicaid entitlements when the biggest entitlement is the military industrial complex
