Overall great post, Graham. With regard to what I highlighted here, this is why I do not totally align with your statement above that it's "vitally important that for the future, and the difficult times ahead, we have a credible and meaningful religion." It would be nice and it would be helpful, but I don't see it as vitally important. I also think your thought would be better served if you had said "credible and meaningful religions."
