Perhaps you can modify the copyrighted images with the title of your piece or a line from the poem and thus it wouldn't violate copyright? I'm glad you respect copyright. Many writers would just decide on their own that they can use the image under fair use. One day, they'll get sued for taking that risk. As far as I'm concerned, no article behind the paywall can rely on fair use. You could also embed a link to the album art that you can probably find on youtube. Embedded links never violate copyright as the image itself is not in your story. That's the cleanest solution.
