Personal experiences can create their own biases. I wrote a piece recently, https://medium.com/write-under-the-moon/betrayal-by-one-loved-one-920e66db12b9, a poem plus discussion, that included these two stanzas:

smallest sample size
yields broadest proclamation
does picture make sense
it does when I realize
bias blinds better than me

personal experience
is a form of prejudice
confirmation bias throws
babes with bathwater
