Personally, I believe in a middle ground. I'm glad to see that the no punishment poilicy has worked for that family and I understand from her past why she chose that route. By middle ground I mean punishment can be non physical. Depending on the child, reasoning won't always work. Some kids need consequences, as do many adults, in order to learn.
