Remembering seeing the explosion as I walked past the entrance desk to my dorm at the exact moment and reading your husband's explanation of speechless grief, my mind jumped to 9/11. I lived in Manhattan at the time. Let's just leave it at that. I am not minimizing your story. Just sharing where the words took me. I remember waking up just after 8am as my wife and I would alway do and then turn on the Today show. The first tower had been hit. The anchors offered no opinion. I told my wife it was a terrorist attack. Then the TV coverage showed the second tower being hit live. Two and a half or so hours later I walked to work. It was always a walk. A mile. I noticed the sky had gotten darker. Thought it was just the smoke from the fire several miles south of me. When I got to work I found out that the darkness was the debris cloud from the first tower to collapse.
