Reminds me of two spans in the last decade or so when I renewed a childhood hobby of building WW2 model airplanes. I put in more effort as an adult by taking the time to paint them, which as a kid I avoided. I still have a few unbuilt sets from the last time I went to a hobby store about 4 years ago but I don't have a good work space for such prjects where I'm living now.
I read a great book a few months ago, A Gentleman in Moscow. Inspired by this quote, “If you are ever in doubt, just remember that unlike adults, children want to be happy. So they have the ability to take the greatest pleasure in the simplest things,” I posted this poem, https://medium.com/5618c9777407, which included this stanza:
to find wondrous joy
channel our childs within us
nous knows life is fun
simple pleasures in our grasp
when recall kinder wisdom
