Shoot me, I don't fucking care, I love American Pie and will belt out every word when I play it on a jukebox. It's probably nostalgic for me because we had a very cool music teacher in middle school, and I think I first heard the song in his class, discussing the meanings (some debatable) of the lyrics--it was kind of like a music history lesson. When I say he was cool, when The Wall came out he played the entire double album as part of his lesson plan.
