So I just re-read your article a few times. You say: "Which sounds better to all the men out there: A relationship in which a woman chose you because you are a good provider, leading to an arrangement she cannot afford to leave, or a relationship in which a woman chose you because she loves you and has the freedom to leave but chooses to stay because of that love?"
You do not say, what sounds better to any life-partner in any relationship? One in which both choose transactional/property exchanges, which makes all marriages into prostitution, or one based on love, hopefully unconditional, flowing both ways?
Here's a poem and essay I wrote recently that touches on this. https://medium.com/@marcus17043/he-loves-me-he-loves-me-not-5adbd59d3cc9 The essay by White Feather that I cite is very on point.
