Some of your write up reminds me of thoughts I wrote in my https://medium.com/illumination/spirituality-redefined-ff45cb53eaf2 that I wrote a couple of years ago and that happens to have cited a couple of Ms. Fosu's articles with varying degrees of agreement. My essay included my thoughts on "putting in the work behind the journey of transformation that is the goal of spiritual practice — of the journey without a destination." And that "Spiritual principles not only serve as lighthouses when our vision is foggy, but they also guide us to and present safe harbors in which to live, and anyone and everyone can live with contentment and serenity by working [12] Step work into their self-improvement and spiritual growth routines." I explained that much of 12-step work is the same as what people call shadow work. The first part of my essay was about the differences between spiritualitynand religion--Ms. Fosu and I were in full agreement there.
