Stumbled or led there by synchronicity? :-) Consider this experience I had a few days ago. I was listening to a YouTube Music playlist called Campfire Classics. A Pink Floyd song came on that I had never heard. The song itself was not particularly appealing and it certainly was not a campfire classic. I almost skipped it but I thought why is this here and went back to the beginning and paid attention to the lyrics. The song is called Fearless. Take a look at the lyrics, especially the line towards the end about hope.

"You say the hill's too steep to climb, chiding

You say you'd like to see me try climbing

You pick the place and I'll choose the time

And I'll climb the hill in my own way

Just wait awhile for the right day

And as I rise above the tree line and the clouds

I look down, hear the sound of the things you said today

Fearlessly, the idiot faced the crowd, smiling

Merciless, the magistrate turns 'round, frowning

And who's the fool who wears the crown?

Go down in your own way

And every day is the right day

And as you rise above the fear lines in his brow

You look down, hear the sound of the faces in the crowd

Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart

And you'll never walk alone

You'll never walk alone

Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart

And you'll never walk alone

You'll never walk alone"

I texted a screen shot of the lyrics to a Medium friend and said, "I had never heard this Pink Floyd song before. The song is meh. But the lyrics are good. Strange song to show up in the list I had on. There's nothing summer camp fire about it. Makes me wonder what I'm supposed to do with it. Maybe keep my eyes and ears open for someone who it might help. I think the universe sometimes uses me as a bridge"

My friend replied, "No, it was for me...oh my goddess.. "

Then that evening I read a David Brooks column that concluded with "In Milwaukee, I have heard a lot of patriotism, but it was the patriotism of nostalgia, not the patriotism of hope. That leaves an opening for the folks who gather in Chicago next month."

I immediately thought of the lyrics to the song. As I also did reading this Medium post, https://josephlieungh.medium.com/i-can-see-clearly-now-4c31df201086, which included this:

"A thousand people meditating on Love or Peace, collectively changing the present moment of fear based thought process. Mastering ones own thoughts, collectively contributing to ‘The Field’ of consciousness, potentially altering or enhancing the collective whole."
