Thank you. It popped into my head and I wasn't sure why, then I figured it out. A couple of others also popped in but they didn't really work. Billy Joel's Only the Good Die Young was one for this line, "So come on, Virginia, show me a sign,

Send up a signal, I'll throw you the line," but the overall context of the song didn't fit and I don't like taking one line from a song out of context. I think it might have been Conni's poem that made me think of that song.
