Thank you for sharing this well written and thoughtful piece with us and our readers. The stories you collected really hit me. I was already pro-choice despite my personal belief that human life begins just after conception but your essay adds visceral feelings to how important it is that abortions remain legal.

You also correctly point out that certain religious views (and minority ones at that) are becoming law and that is so obviously contrary to the First Amendment's anti-establishment clause that it is a shame that Roe (and other morality cases that have relied on privacy grounds) was not decided on that basis. (my essay here https://medium.com/p/4d234daa2e71 ) The holding (which is separate and apart from reasoning) of Roe should be affirmed on this other ground but it won't be because the separation of church and state is an original part of the constitution that originalists don't like and they are hypocrites as I go into in this essay https://medium.com/illumination/originalism-or-modernism-13b897b5f90b
