Me: “Do you believe in eternal souls and past and future lives?”

Neuropsychologist: “Past and future lives yes but not a soul, although we do have subtle energy fields unknown to science. It is our experiences that cluster to form a soul.”

Me: “same thing — the energy field is the soul”

It also reminds me of the phrase soul expansion, which i interpreted thusly in a poem:

"dog tethered emerges from the brush near his house

he howls at me; I howl back

puzzled he barks; I bark back

he looks at me quizzically as I am past him, looking back, I say “I love you too.”

I wonder if he sensed my soul, it is expanding after all."
