Thank you for these lines. There's far too much toxic positivity in spiritual circles--people, listen to Rebecca and stop just sending salutations of love and light, stop turning the other cheek to everything, and MAKE love and light by putting in the damn work

The other day I was prompted to learn the term Nepsis: “Nepsis, or nipsis, is a Greek word which means to be watchful, alert, and vigilant, and to keep on your guard for illusions and fear, with a clear, sober mind. Parallels could likely be made between Nepsis and the concepts of mindfulness in Buddhism, dhikr in Islam, and devekut in Judism [sic].
