That is a quirk in Medium's coding. It stems from the PN the rejecting editor left in the story. That editor did not add the note. Just choose the hide option and let it go. I just now see what Katie said above. Im not sure that one actually has to make an edit but at least that would make the quirk in the system somewhat logical.
