The Beatles have been my favorite band since I was 11 years old, 8 years after they broke up. My 17-months-younger-sister was into the Tiger Beat pin up music of Leif Garrett, Sean Cassidy, etc. My sweet mom didn't know from anything besides Frank Sinatra and Barry Manilow (who I love by the way--both actually) and for Chanukah bought her a few cassettes, including the Beatles Blue Album Greatest Hits (1967-1070) compilation. Randi hated it. I instantly fell in love with those songs. I recently watched the Get Back documentary. It's fabulous.
