Whether religions began with good or less than good intentions, they are limited to the knowledge available, which is never complete.

There are parts of nearly all religions that have been included and announced as “God’s will” that were designed to uphold the laws accepted by society at the time they were formed, edited, and stamped with man’s approval, even as they were credited to the Creator. Some religious laws presented as God’s word do indeed represent some things truly, while other parts were specifically designed to control and manipulate the people and are not of God.

We do not say all of these were devised with impure intent, although some were, and no religion is excluded in this. What we will say is religious laws may have been inspired by someone’s idea or interpretation of what the Creator desires, but many of those who designed and edited these laws were rarely in direct contact with God."
