The interesting part of this article to me is that it almost justifies to me the fact that the methodology of the Covid vaccine studies was not designed to provide accurate information to the public. https://medium.com/grab-a-slice/pfizer-and-moderna-vaccines-95-efficacy-are-opinions-which-fail-the-federal-standards-for-d271e2f2a3b0 In my opinion the studies were flawed in that no study participant was tested for Covid unless they reported symptoms. I read the studies so I know this is true. It also explains the stats. Using rough numbers from the Pfizer study 7/21k with vax got sick vs 140/21k with placebo, hence, 95% efficacy. But those stats also mean that only 0.7% got sick with the placebo at a time when the general public was testing positive at conservatively a 15% rate. In other words, the placebo worked!! Not!!! So far, it looks like the ends justfied the means. But I object to using statistics to fool the public. When I explain the numbers to people, while some just don't care, there are others who just don't believe me--they find it incredulous that testing was not part of the regimen so choose not t believe me or the numbers. Cognitive dissonance.
