The real problem with the word love is that our language only has one word with a multitude of meanings. I haven't left this comment in a while so I don't remember the exact number in my favorite dictionary (and I'm sitting at the bar in an Italian restaurant eating dinner as I type this ). At least 18 and maybe more than 20 and clearly some of the uses trivialize the meaningful ones. Greek has 5 or 6 or more different words. I'm told Arabic has at least eleven.
