There are so many great messages in here my friend. In addition to the obvious ones that you intended, this reader also receives the message of not comparing oneself to others and wishing that one had aspects that others do and isolating instead of doing something about that. My Sofia, my daughter, started college this week. She is very shy. She isn't meeting people and looks around at others who are and gets very down, so that's why I received additional resonance with your poem.

PS: Reading this today led me to your poem on pain and sadness. I sent that link to my daughter. I had first thought of sending her today's piece, but once I made a comment that discusses her that became impossible--she would kill me.
