These lines contain great messaging and make your poem meaningful. They remind me of a recent Jodie Helm piece, https://jodieshelm.medium.com/you-have-a-choice-93bb9e3d448e, subtitled "You can either enjoy life, or not," and includes this line: "My dad used to say to count our blessings, rather than our troubles, and that’s sound advice I rarely forget." One of the blessings she talks about is the joy her infant grandchild gives her.

These lines also remind me of people who have deep sorrow in their lives but still manage to find joy and meaning. I recently read a magazine article that compiled over 40 journal entries made by three young women in Iran. One of the entries stopped caused me to pause for several minutes: I feel good for no reason. "Ever since the start of the Woman, Life, Freedom revolution, there has been so much pain that feeling good seems bizarre. Yet I feel great today. I wonder why. The lightness is weird." I decided to write about my impressions to several of the entries here: https://medium.com/@marcus17043/inspiring-words-from-women-facing-despair-with-hope-and-resilience-c04581932839
