This is a very interesting perspective Trudie, and I fully understand where you are coming from, but I don't buy into it. I feel you so strongly believe in the law of attraction that you preserve its definition by doing what certain christian power structures did with the invention of original sin, which they needed to preserve their definition of god and how the universe works. Original sin was invented to explain how a benevolent god could allow bad things to happen to good people. Here, you preserve the law of attraction by saying that the kind souls who are being viciously trolled subconsciously were putting out bad energy that attracted the bad energy. I just don't buy it. The trolls are emotional vampires and can sense the empaths' vulnerability to attack and prey upon them. Now, maybe the universe wants the victims not to suffer from toxic femininity and those that say develop a thicker skin are not wrong to say so, regardless of whether they are trying to be constructive or are just gaslighting. Hmm, this could turn into a post in Melanie's fairly new pub "Unpopular Opinions."
