This is fantastic. I will engage further when I am back at a computer. I am spending the morning walking around a pond in Salem NH. I was literally thinking about how animals are the blue prints for our machines seconds before discovering your fabulous piece in my feed. I had just stopped in a store for some refreshments and a pad and pen to write my thoughts. I had just transcribed this tanka from my head inspired by my favorite local bird, the woodpecker, and one of my spirit animals of which you wrote so eloquently
