This is rampant on Medium and frankly, Medium is grossly negligent. It would be so easy to create an algorithm that prevents someone from duplicating both name and image. I get these spam comments mimicking quality accounts like yours often and I always report them but it's like whack-a-mole. The spam from not mimicked accounts is more annoying as I'm like, oh , cool, a new commenter and then I see, hit me up on Whatsapp or this is how I make $2000 a week....yada yada
