This is what keeps me writing on Medium. It would be nice to make money but I know that Medium is a drink-the-kool-aid, take a lesson out of the MLM playbook, scam. Yet, every time I pick up a follower it means one priceless thing--something I wrote, often maybe just a substantive comment in someone else's story, supportive or critical, made a difference in someone's life.
