When Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election over trumped-up charges of email malfeasance, they said we were being alarmist to suggest that the legitimacy of the Supreme Court was in jeopardy. After the slow-moving coup of January 6, they said we were being ridiculous when we suggested that democracy itself was being threatened. After mountains of evidence revealed that Russia had indeed attacked our elections and openly aided the election of Donald Trump, they said we were lost in a fantastical haze of demagoguery.
