From my personal experiences and what I have learned from my spirit guides, I believe that Jodie and those she channels are legit.

Also, I personally have experience with pets having souls. I first met my channeler Anne when I was dating a woman who was struggling with whether to put her cat to sleep. The GF had used Anne to channel the soul of one of her dogs that had died and that soul was able to communicate what the cat's soul wanted to say. Incarnated souls do stay in contact with the other realm.
