This type of story would be much better if you included your personal observations or other anecdotes of your own visits to these sites.

I visited Munich in June 1989 when during the summer after graduating college a friend and I went with our Eurail passes and Let's Go Europe books to Amsterdam, Munich, Vienna, Venice, Rome, Florence, Nice, Cannes, Interlaken and Paris. I vaguely recall visiting Marienplatz, the Hofbrauhaus, and some park where people sunbathed naked.
