Very interesting, deep and excellent piece, Anthi. The pain and joy stanza has several layers. For example, there is no love between humans without concommittant pain (breakups, fights, death, heartbreak, etc) and also so much joy (seeing loved ones' achivements and receiving the love we give, etc). On another level, pain and joy are emotional signals, which like happiness and sadness, are both generally fleeting (I am not talking about trauma or depression or mania--that's why I said "generally"). The thoughts in the stanza that talks about how past interpretations chain us reflect this great essay by John Ege, Soul-Self Healing, Internal and external approaches to healing self ( https://solarchariot.medium.com/soul-self-healing-15bb89e133db ), that I cited in my essay the other night, https://marcus17043.medium.com/why-do-good-people-fear-their-own-shadow-8e5a921ac775 , which I feel very much relates to your poem.
