Well, if you're gonna get slammed for this story, it won't be from me, and they can slam me too. Early this year I read this excellent story by White Feather, https://whitefeather9.medium.com/prostitution-and-divorce-bae0df9fc677, in which he wrote: "There is a little prostitution involved in practically every relationship. Prostitution is merely a means of exchange and we all are involved in exchanges that have subtle hints of prostitution at certain levels. With unconditional love there is no exchange. Exchange is always conditional!" I wrote 6 tanka poems on love, conditional and unconditional and linked to White Feather's story here: https://medium.com/know-thyself-heal-thyself/unconditional-love-3481bffe22f4. Here is one of the tanka:
"Love’s a condition
that should not have conditions
Love with conditions
is a property exchange
It’s legal prostitution"
Cognitive dissonance prevents people from seeing that many marriages are not based upon love but are based on property exchanges, i.e., many marriages are legal prostitution.
Sex providers are people just like everyone else — nonexploitative transactional sex between consenting adults should be destigmatized and decriminalized. I have said that in comments and in my stories.
I feel very strongly about that. If you want to know why, you may read this: https://medium.com/know-thyself-heal-thyself/a-defiant-lovestory-89d431ba5bf9
