Well said. Everyone needs to stop judging.

This is not a case of a right side or a wrong side. The lesson to everyone should be don't judge but try to understand. People are judging Will for the slap. People are judging Chris for the joke. People are judging Will for an inadequate apology. A few but not enough people are aware of the role that Jada played by her reaction, which to my eyes was more than an eye roll. Will's emotional state was probably already charged being up for the award. Then I see that before he reacted with anger he first laughed at the joke, which was quite funny albeit insensitive until he saw Jada's reaction. Then I imagine he felt guilt and shame, perhaps exacerbated by his mother's history of being beaten by Will's father, and in front of him, about which he has written of his guilt and anger at himself for not intervening. I can't help but wonder to what extent the anger that he took out on Rock was actually anger with himself projected upon Rock.

I say give the man time to reflect, however long that may take, and if they take away his Oscar then cancel culture strikes again. Perhaps they should simply not invite him to present the award next year.
