When I was a kid, the Howard Johnson restaurant chain had a spaghetti dish called Fearless Fredo, which used ketchup as the sauce. I still occasionally make myself pasta and put a little tomato sauce and a lot of ketchup for tang and lots of parmesan cheese. As an adult though, I make the pasta very al dente.
