While I personally did not experience nor see these defects to the degree you did, NYC has always Marched to its own drummer--most meetings are uber inclusive and long ago dropped certain of the rigidness, but the euphemism "13th stepper" was common. Regardless, you know from our exchanges that I believe that AA as presently practiced is deeply flawed.
