As far as I know from everything I have read, the only benefit to sharing friends links, which I do often, is extra eyes on our work and our fellow writers work. Medium does not pay any MPP for any engagement by non-members. Look at your stats. You don't know what you are talking about. I'm happy to be shown that I am wrong.
