You cover a lot of topics here with not enough pieces of yourself spread throughout to distinguish your article from the masses. My comment will provide you with my perspectives on the topics, and I stress that my perspective is mine, resulting from my personal spiritual journey as opposed to diving into the ancient texts and internet posts about them, which are cool to read but one should always think critically for oneself and give the reader personal takeaways that they may relate to--otherwise, all you really have is a well dressed up listicle (see my https://medium.com/p/918d7adf128f).
Even God said "Religion cannot stand Spirituality. It cannot abide it. For Spirituality may bring you to a different conclusion than a particular religion — and this no known religion can tolerate. Religion encourages you to explore the thoughts of others and accept them as your own. Spirituality invites you to toss away the thoughts of others and come up with your own."― Neale Donald Walsch, The Complete Conversations with God
With regard to manifestation, the new age spirituality concept that we can all manifest our desires through positive thoughts and energy is claptrap used to sell books to the masses who eat up spiritual materialism--an unfortunate side effect of the foibles of capitalism and confirmation bias. What everyone does have the power to manifest is contentment and serenity by altering our reactions and attitudes. Check out the serenity manifested by Esther Raab in the direst of circumstances as recounted by the actor/author Alan Arkin and retold by me in this story I posted: https://medium.com/channspirations/this-vivid-dream-saved-esther-raabs-life-ed37b1637d23
I have personal views of the law of attraction and karma. I used to say LoA does not exist--and I still say it does not exist as marketed. Karma is complicated as so many versions of it have come into play through Eastern religious/philosophical thought and further corrupted by judeo-Christian philosophy and religion. Then I read a simple definition of karma that I discern as correct as it correlates perfectly with my understanding of reincarnation and soul contracts (which I prefer to call improv scripts), which understanding I have gleaned from my personal experiences with life and death and channeled conversations with my spirit guides (see my recent https://medium.com/the-taoist-online/my-journey-toward-understanding-the-cycles-of-life-death-and-between-life-cc64f6d3b42b).
So the simple thought on karma that I read and was a mic drop moment for me was from DL Nemeril's story, https://medium.com/spirit-alchemy/your-soul-knows-why-youre-here-fab15a32045f , in which she channeled this from her spirit guides:
"Here, we would like to add that we do not agree with karma meaning you have to ‘pay’ for what you did in another lifetime. That is a very human perception, of life being a court system meting out reward and punishment. Karma is a vibrational level that draws the experiences needed for healing and growth to a soul. Nothing more."
That led me to this redefinition of the LoA:
"the law of attraction describes the vibrational pulls of our soul contracts, not what we humans consciously or subconsciously emit." See my https://medium.com/channspirations/revisiting-karma-and-the-law-of-attraction-997965601b65 for a more complete discussion of my views and the evolution thereof.
Now when it comes to prayer, I do think there is the possibility for manifestation of actual events, but only through collective action. See White Feather's https://medium.com/grab-a-slice/the-day-it-finally-rained-fb0abc167fbd:
“When you are dehydrated and pray for rain to come nature FEELS your current situation and gives you more of it. It supports what you are FEELING. If you are intensely FEELING dehydration that is what nature will give you because that is how nature reads what you want.”
...
“First of all, stop praying for rain. Completely. Instead of coming together to pray collectively, come together to FEEL collectively. Leave your noggins out of it and just FEEL. Don’t think.”
“The entire settlement must come together in the morning just after sunrise and FEEL rain. FEEL what it is like being drenching wet. FEEL the water pouring over you. FEEL your naked feet standing in mud. FEEL the water nourishing you and your crops. FEEL the taste of water in your mouths. FEEL the joy of dancing in the rain. Simply FEEL everything that is good about water. FEEL it in your hearts as intensely as you can. FEEL it as though it is happening in the present moment.”
Then, there is this advice that I have seen that God gave through Neale Donald Walsch regarding prayer that resonated with me: “When you thank God in advance for that which you choose to experience in your reality, you, in effect, acknowledge that it is there…in effect. Thankfulness is thus the most powerful statement to God; an affirmation that even before you ask, I have answered.”
That's enough from me. I hope this comment helps you as a writer. I'm sure you have much to contribute.
