You will really like the story of Esther Raab that I told here. https://medium.com/channspirations/this-vivid-dream-saved-esther-raabs-life-ed37b1637d23 I also left you the link just now in the thread we had the other day that just continued a few minutes ago

The Frankl quote is one of my favorites. I use it often. The version I use is "Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of human freedoms--to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way...between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom."

I've also connected that to the concept of the liminal space that I read about here on Medium. Now I have to go find it...I'm back:

According to the Oxford dictionary, “liminal” is defined as:

1. occupying a position at, or on both sides of, a boundary or threshold.

2. relating to a transitional or initial stage of a process.

Kelley Murphy wrote in her https://medium.com/spirit-alchemy/liminal-spaces-ac626ff32f87 :

"When we find ourselves in liminal places, we are forced to confront the unknown. We must let go of our old patterns of behavior and embrace new ways of thinking and being.

These spaces are the perfect places for transformation to occur.

They offer us the opportunity to connect with something greater than ourselves. When we are in a liminal space, we are often forced to confront our own mortality and our place in the world. This can be a humbling experience, but it will always be a transformative one."

That inspired this stanza from me:

"Cross the door’s threshold

Enter the liminal space

Alchemy awaits

Trust metamorphic process

From chrysalis shall emerge"

in my https://marcus17043.medium.com/open-the-windows-to-your-soul-5db331a8870f, which I see you did read earlier this year
