Your essay and this phrase reminded me of a tanka I wrote over three years ago as I started to find my tribe. The prompt was "What kind of people do I attract?" As you can see in the link, https://medium.com/know-thyself-heal-thyself/mediums-a-primordial-ooze-2d458531491b, the title that I originally thought of was meh (I think I used that term correctly??). Before I published I changed it to Medium's a Soul Incubator, Tanka of the law of attraction.

What kinds I attract?

worldly souls thinkers writers

Kind life livers all

I shall not assign labels

Read with eyes and minds answer

Looking today at the list of about 40 writers I tagged then. A few I am still very close with. Many left the platform after short stays. Some, were never my tribe. Back then resonance often still overwhelmed discernment. Maybe one day soon I'll publish it again and tag a current and more tailored list.
