Detaching with love. Two plus years ago I published several tanka poems under one title, Unconditional Love. https://medium.com/p/3481bffe22f4 One written in the single 31-syllable line format is:
"Unconditional love rare on Earth ruled by egos and attachments from which awake souls should detach with not suffer from love"
One message in that poem is detaching with love does not betray love. It honors it. https://marcus17043.medium.com/when-should-one-detach-with-love-f63180af8c8d Both self-love and love for the other person.
Another of my tanka in Unconditional Love in the usual 5/5/7/7/7 format is:
"Unconditional
love twixt humans forever?
Perhaps, perhaps not.
Love is a state of being.
Beings constantly in flux."
That particular poem responded to an interesting prompt from Diana C.: "What are the conditions of unconditional love?" My explanation for that poem included: "love is a state of being — many feel one cannot fall out of true love — here’s the fallacy in that — many correctly believe that we are constantly changing — so, since love is a state of being, it is inconsistent to insist that one cannot fall out of true love. That one falls out of love does not mean the love was never true."
